The lower leggs are cut out of Billet aluminum and come ready to bolt on with the hidden axle already build in to the kit. These are not the cheap chrome exchange program junk everyone sells... These are TRUE hidden axle lower leggs and are made of the best material.

What's needed to do single disk conversion on a Harley bagger? The process is really not as complicated as you may think. On any dual disk Harley, to do the conversion, you need to do the following... First you have to get a MORE powerful single caliper. Dual disk bikes are usually heavier, thus this more powerful caliper is a must! We recomend a 6 piston caliper for this which can be purchased from us in the Hawg Halters brand or the PM brand, both are nice products. The second thing we recomend is a 13" Rotor. When you have the larger circumfrenece rotor, the stoppin power of the brakes is greatly increased and they also run cooler keeping the rotor from warping in the future from high heat. A normal 11.5" or 11.8" can be used and should work fine, but if you are really about performance and being able to stop good... The 13" is the only way to go.

We have done extensive research on the Chrome finish of wheels and the aluminum in which they are made from. All of the wheels on our website are forged from HIGH grade aluminum and then cut with CNC machines to acheive the design in the wheel. They are not cheap cast wheels that are likly to bend or break. Once the design is cut out of them, they are then sent to Polishing and then to Chrome. ALL of the Chrome Harley wheels on our website feature AT LEAST a 2 Year Chrome warranty and the companies are very good about honoring it.

If Chrome is not your forte, you could consider the Black and Polished look. The wheel is cut out of the aluminum half way... then it is Powdercoated or anodized black and then the remaining parts of the wheel are cut. This gives you as Performance Machine calls this process... a "Contrast Cut" look. Rc Components calls it their Eclipse series. Forge-Tec calls this their Midnight series.
